A band so lit, they named a double IPA after us

Known for our high energy, album accurate performances of the 80's and 90's most rocking songs. Our sets keep audiences packed on the dance floor. So it only made sense when the good people at Amor Artis Brewing named their new 8.5 ABV double IPA after us. Like it, we're a robust, motivated 4-pack of musicians, with a combined 150 years of experience. We constantly polish and mold a vast setlist of crowd favorites, to make sure your next festival, party, club, bar or restaurant is lit and rocking as well.

Introducing Exit 85, Charlotte's premier 80's & 90's cover band, performing crowd favorites at various venues around the Charlotte-metro area.

Meet the Band

David Kiser
Lead Vocals and lots of moves
Dave brings more than 20 years of experience performing in cover bands. Born and raised in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, he has performed with many of DFW’s most successful cover bands including, REAL, Turning Trixie and Panik Radio. His vocal stylings bring an authentic sound to all of the artists he covers. Now he is excited to to perform with a talented group of musicians in his new home town of Fort Mill, SC!!
Rob Stewart
Not to be confused with Rod Stewart, although every bit as notorious
Rob has over 20 years of experience playing and performing in cover bands. He was born and raised in Northern New York, and lived in Buffalo and New Jersey, before settling in Charlotte/Fort Mill area. He's a versatile musician, having played drums in several bands before transitioning to guitar. His playing style is rooted in blues, but he loves all genres of music especially hard rock and metal. In New York he was a member of the bands “And Sometimes Y” and “Mr Bicklehaupt”, and has played out extensively in Charlotte area with the band “Barefoot Pilgrim” headlining Derby Days, Young Affiliates, Alive After 5 at the Mint Museum, as well as playing blues at the famous Double Door Inn. He's now excited to be playing with a great group of musicians to bring a solid set of 80's and 90's rock to the Fort Mill and Charlotte areas.
It's just Jack
Slappin da bass
http://www.jacksutherland.com
Jack bought a Fender Jazz bass and Technics turntable in 1993, and immediately became entrenched with creating new sounds. A couple of years later after studying Jazz at CPCC , he was headlining his first band, Hillside Groove, a funk/hip-hop hybrid, performing in local clubs throughout the Charlotte-Metro area. Since then he has gained over 20 years of experience playing bass for The Dismoire Cover Trio, Pistola (an Incubus cover band), as well as performing at events and filling in at recording studios. He's become proficient in a variety of styles, including rock, funk, jazz and reggae, and loves refining new bass lines to keep songs fresh and interesting.
Beats by Greg
Thompson
Having played in multiple bands across 2 continents throughout his music career, Greg brings a lot of experience and energy to every show. There's nothing too heavy or fast for him, and his creativity on acoustic sets allows the band to continue to rock out, even at lower volume venues.

Our Music

Performing live is only part of what makes a great cover band. Between shows we are constantly working on our set lists, perfecting songs to provide an optimal experience for our audiences. Requests are always welcomed as well, regardless of the genre.
